Website www.ctdu.org.uk We are very fortunate to be based in the beautiful setting of the RSPB Bothkennar reserve, a peaceful and interesting environment for our members to learn from and enjoy. RSPB are particularly interested in protecting the coastline and birds whose numbers have been falling rapidly. Tree sparrows and yellow hammers frequent our newly developed garden, and grey partridges and skylarks inhabit the fields behind the centre. Many other birds can be seen, particularly in autumn and winter.
Directions to our centre -
If you are coming from
the M9, take the M876 for the Kincardine Bridge. At the Bowtrees roundabout
(at the end of the motorway) follow signs for the Kincardine
Bridge.
(If you are coming from the A905, from Skinflats or Airth,
take the A876 in the direction of the Kincardine Bridge.)
Just after you come off the roundabout, look out for a right turn
in the road sign-posted
for parking, picnic and toilets, beside the Pine and Oak restaurant.
Turn right there and continue along the single-track road for about
150 yards, past some houses on the left-hand side. After the houses,
take first left down a long straight avenue of trees. Keep going
right to the end of the road, past a house on your right hand side.
